Tribal Outreach

Markapur District is home to various aboriginal tribal communities such as Chenchu, Yanadi, Kodu, Sugali, and Yerukala. These tribes have unique lifestyles and traditions—some depend on hunting, some on agriculture, while others engage in traditional occupations like fortune telling and rag picking.

Most of these communities live deep within the dense forests of the Nallamala wilderness in the Eastern Ghats, making access to education, healthcare, and basic necessities extremely limited. Their isolation presents a significant challenge for outreach and development efforts.

Expanding Outreach

Beyond Markapur District, we have identified and are actively working among other tribal groups such as Banjara, Yanadi, Soura, and Jathapu across various districts in Andhra Pradesh. Altogether, our outreach is focused on serving 21 tribal groups who largely remain unreached and underserved.

Challenges We Address
  1. Lack of Education: Most tribal communities have little to no access to formal education due to their remote forest locations.
  2. Remote Living Conditions: Living deep in jungle areas limits access to healthcare, infrastructure, and development opportunities.
  3. Cultural and Language Barriers: Each tribe has its own dialect and traditions, requiring dedicated efforts to communicate and connect effectively.
  4. Economic Hardships: Many depend on basic survival methods, lacking stable income sources and livelihood opportunities.
  5. Spiritual and Social Support: Providing guidance, hope, and community support through consistent outreach and engagement.
