Rev. Dr. Sekhar Gurram – A Life of Faith, Service, and Calling

Rev. Dr. Sekhar Gurram was born on 15th June 1973 into a devoted Indian Christian family to his parents, Mr. Prasangi and Mrs. Mariyamma. From an early age, he was nurtured in faith, which later became the foundation of his life’s calling and ministry.

With a deep passion for both spiritual growth and academic excellence, he pursued higher education in diverse fields. He earned a Master of Arts in Sociology from Madurai Kamaraj University, Chennai, equipping him with a strong understanding of society and human behavior. Responding to God’s call to ministry, he completed his Master of Divinity from Chennai International Evangelical Seminary. Further strengthening his theological journey, he was awarded a Doctor of Divinity from the Indian National Apostolic Theological Open University, Chennai, and a Doctor of Ministry from BILD University, USA.

Rev. Dr. Sekhar Gurram has faithfully served in pastoral ministry for over two decades. He ministered for 10 years at Chintaguntla Baptist Church and has been serving for the past 12 years at Peddaraveedu Baptist Church as a Senior Pastor. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to spreading the Gospel have impacted countless lives.

Beyond the church, he has expanded his ministry as a TV speaker, reaching wider audiences with messages of hope, healing, and salvation. He is also the Founder and President of Jesus Loves Ministries Society and Bethany Bible Institute, through which he is actively involved in teaching, training, and equipping future leaders for Christian service.

He resides in Markapur, Andhra Pradesh, South India, along with his beloved wife, Mrs. Sunitha Ruth, who serves as Treasurer of Jesus Loves Ministries and is a strong support in his ministry. They are blessed with three children: a daughter, Nissi Angel, and twin sons, William Benhar and Wesley Manohar.

Rev. Dr. Sekhar Gurram’s life stands as a testimony of God’s grace and faithfulness. His vision continues to be centered on serving the Lord wholeheartedly, nurturing communities in faith, and raising leaders for the Kingdom of God. He is also actively involved in the development of poor, needy, and tribal communities.

Mrs. Benny Sunitha Ruth

– A Life of Support, Service, and Faith

Mrs. Benny Sunitha Ruth, the beloved wife of Rev. Dr. Sekhar Gurram, is a devoted woman of faith who has been a strong pillar of support in both her family and ministry. With a heart dedicated to serving God and His people, she plays a vital role in the ongoing mission work.

She completed her Bachelor of Arts from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Hyderabad, equipping herself with knowledge and understanding that she faithfully applies in her responsibilities.

As the Treasurer of Jesus Loves Ministries Society, Mrs. Sunitha Ruth serves with sincerity, integrity, and dedication, carefully managing the ministry’s resources and supporting its vision to reach the needy and spread the message of Christ’s love.

Beyond her official role, she is a loving wife and caring mother, balancing her family responsibilities while actively contributing to the ministry. Her quiet strength, commitment, and faithful service continue to be a blessing to many. She is actively involved in the development of poor, needy, and tribal women in Andhra Pradesh.

Her life reflects humility, devotion, and a deep trust in God, as she stands alongside her husband in advancing the Kingdom of God.
